Super Soap Flakes 
With Coconut & Rapeseed Oil 
 
Similar to the Super Soft Soap, Soap Flakes have been used over many generations for washing Heavy Horses Feather. Equioils tripartite Soap Flakes has been specifically formulated to cleanse and rejuvenate the feather. It has outstanding solubility and lathering properties, even with hard water creating a rich, deep-cleansing lather which penetrates to remove the dirt and grease.  This product produces that ultra-deep clean for soft silky feather without stripping the feather of its natural oils.
 
It is an essential product to start the show season for bathing horses / ponies all over the body and can be used as part of a routine maintenance. The benefits of this product are: 
Promotes skin health: Rapeseed Oil 
Rapeseed oil is rich in essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6, as well as vitamins A and E. These nutrients provide numerous benefits to the skin and help to maintain hydration of the skin locking in the moisture. This helps to prevent dryness and flakiness, which helps against feather mite (Chorioptes equi). The oil also helps to soothe and calm irritated sensitive skin.
Stimulates skin/feather growth: Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil to condition the hair and provide nourishment. Coconut oil is rich in vitamins and fatty acids, in particular lauric acid to restore the follicles natural lipid barrier. Whilst lauric acid penetrates deep into the hair cortex to strengthen the hair shaft and help prevent breakages, the medium-chain fatty acids also help to combat dryness.
Creates and protects: Glycerine
Glycerine is the most effective humectant by providing protection to the skin and eliminating breakage to the feather. All of these key ingredients replenish and enrich the skin and hair/feather whilst creating that ultra-deep clean for soft silky feather.
 
Directions for full application: Equioils recommends a small 48-hour patch test prior to application. Apply a cup full of the soap flakes to a bucket of warm/hot water allowing the soap flakes to dissolve. Use the soapy water to wash the horse / pony and for the feather ensure that you massage well into the leg and feather to produce the lather then rinse until water runs clear. Remove excess water and dry as desired. For best results use in conjunction with the Equioils Wood Flour.
